Paskong Pinoy

You'll know that its Christmas when you hear children singing carols with their improvised instruments. a drum made of empty cans and a stretched cloth on top that's sealed with rubber bands. and another instrument that i dunno what its called but its made of flattened bottle caps. "ang pasko ay sumapit", "Christmas on our hearts", or "boom tarat-tarat" followed by "we wish you a merry Christmas" and "thank you song" linger the streets and fill our hearts, even for a moment, with joy and warmth. Little voices, warm hearts and the innocence of youth makes up the true meaning of Christmas.

You'll know that its Christmas when you hear the church bell ringing at 4 in the morning. I can still remember the 1st time i completed the Simbang Gabi i wished my heart out coz they told me that if you complete it-make a wish and maybe it'll come true. the second time I completed it was the most memorable one for me. i almost didn't complete it! lazy me. it became more memorable because i got to spend it with one of the most important person in my life. together we heard mass and....became half asleep in some parts. LOL :) but hearing with him how God was so good to human kind made it more special. 

Lastly, you'll know when its Christmas when you smell good food from your front door to the kitchen. NOCHE BUENA TIME! its been a tradition in the Philippines to celebrate Christmas with a dinner at the eve before Christmas. Your favorite dish in front of you, who wouldn't be happy right?! from appetizers to entrees to scrumptious desserts. I still remember last year, i was so lucky to celebrate Christmas eve with a very special person, we even wore matching attires accidentally. it was very nice to open my Christmas with him. Every home has a table full of food where the family eats together. Food plus music plus fireworks, a good equation for an awesome party. A party where everyone celebrates the birth of our savior. 

Christmas in the Philippines is truly spectacular. besides the presents you receive, the family and friends that you spend it with makes it more beautiful and unforgettable. " iba talaga ang paskong pinoy. " :)

...2 Awesome Shirts. <3

: The shirt on the right which reads I <3 Bryan was a gift by a special someone on December 11, 2009. It was the Monday after our 3rd Monthsary. This one's special because he was wearing the other half of this couples shirt which read i <3 steph when he went at my place but i didn't even notice it until he put a sad face. haha! This was our very first couples shirt which we wore on our date in ATC. ( yes. its embarassing.:))) and yet soo sweet. <3)

: And on the other hand, the shirt on the left which reads i love my panda, was his first..."gift" since I've been here. This package comes with a bag of Chupachups which was my favorite candy and a letter with a very special note on it. I never expected to receive this from him because i only asked for a letter, but as usual, he never fails to surprise me. That's why i love him very, very much.:)

: Exactly 17 months and 5 days ago, I met this guy who re-defined Love for me. He taught me how to love a person because of who he is and who he's not. He taught me how to be patient and how to wait 'coz there's always be something in store for us. even though he still can't find the words to define why he liked me in the first place, i know, hes feelings for me are crystal clear...and that goes for me too.:)
