Did you know that the concept of the word "soul mate" was orignated by the greek philosopher Plato about a thousand years ago. He described it as the "other half" that had been split from you. Studies show that 90% of young adults still believe in the concept of soulmates, and 88% of this population believe that destiny has determined there is one and only one person to be your soul mate.
The quest of life is to search for your missing half. This became some of the themes and concepts of hit movies like the "City of Angels" and "The Time Travelers Wife", and at maybe, just maybe this also became a concept in someone's life story. Just like this girl i know. Her name is Juliet. Just like in the movies the story startss with you and him living your own lives and sharing the same crazy thought that one day you would meet your soulmate. Obviuosly girls think more of this than guys do. but either way, im sure they both want to meet who they're destined to be with forever. So as their quest goes on, they learn that searching for "the one" isn't easy. There would be a time when you'd meet someone and think that he was the one you were looking for. He would show you things that would make you feel right. he would make you feel that he was the one you've been waiting for.
He would make you feel home whenever you're with him. you feel like everything just goes into place with him in your life. You would feel that you just found the missing piece that would make you whole. You become yourself with him, its like you dont even have to wear a mask whenever he's around. He makes you smile at your lowest and he makes you feel that this relationship is kissed by heaven and just perfect.With everything going so well, all you can say is-"He's the perfect guy for me". And out of the blue, the stretching climax begins.
with everything falling into place and feeling like bliss, problems start to arise. at some point you're gonna realize that he isnt the one you imagined him to be. He wasn't the one you met before. Something changed that caused something bad. changes are inevitable. if there is something that remained permanent in this world that would be change. And somehow, this changes may lead one to the other. Sometimes its not what we planned but sometimes something good would still come out. so here comes the realization that he's not perfect. The question is, if he's not perfect for me, then cant he be the one? cant he be the one i could spend my forever with? cant he be my soulmate?
I too believe in destiny. I too believe in finding my other half and that everything in our life is destined.i believe everything in our life is written in the book where God is the writer. i've taken my hopes and chances on other guys, and yeah they werent the one. and now i'm taking my hopes and chances on someone that's not perfect. someone who makes me cry but laugh too. he makes me smile and makes me feel like this one's heavens' fate. and im hoping and praying that he really is the one. :)
No one said that you just have to fall in love once. i think what they meant was you just have to give it all to the right guy coz hey, there's no such thing as perfect right? maybe that right guy can be the one you're looking for your whole lifetime. your soulmate. Believe in happy endings just like as the song goes, there's a rainbow always after the rain. STAY IN LOVE GUYS. just like me. :)
